Annabel Freyberg wrote: "It all started 25 years ago, with a glut of rasp-berries. In 1987 Joan and Nick Hardingham found an old ice cream recipe belonging to Nick’s mother and began to put the tidal wave of ripe fruit at their farm, Alder Carr in mid-Suffolk, to delectable use. Other farm shops clamoured to stock the ice cream, and when the raspberries ran out a few new fruit flavours were trialled, first in the farmhouse, and from 1996 in a standalone ice-cream kitchen still in use today." Read the full Article here.
